THE DELMA CONTINENTAL PULSOMETER: PERCEPTIVE AT ALL SPEEDS - Delma Watches Ltd.

THE DELMA CONTINENTAL PULSOMETER: PERCEPTIVE AT ALL SPEEDS

DELMA’s new Continental Pulsometer with a stylish vintage inspired design delivers mechanical abilities to rival any smart watch. The pulsometer, tachymeter and telemeter enable measurement of heart rate, distance and speed without the need for battery power. The discreetly adept design displays essential information at all speeds, under all conditions.

Launched in 2020, the Continental series celebrates the innovative spirit of the 1960s and is inspired by DELMA’s timepieces of the decade. Defined by clear lines and edges combined with the interplay of brushed and polished surfaces, the elegant chronographs evoke automotive advancement and enjoyment of the period.

The new Continental Pulsometer instinctively accelerates the collection. A true testament to the power of a mechanical timepiece, the red pulsometer function can accurately capture a heartrate in under one minute. Simply locate the pulse, start the chronograph, and stop it after 30 heartbeats. The number displayed on the scale is the heartrate.

The telemeter relies on a visible and audible event to calculate distance. Most commonly used for storm tracking, by starting the seconds hand when a visual signal such as lightning is observed and stopping it when thunder is heard, the distance between the wearer and the storm is displayed on the telemeter.

Equally essential, the tachymeter scale measures velocity over a set distance. For example, in an automobile race, if the chronograph is initiated at a set point and stopped when the vehicle has travelled one kilometer or mile, the number indicated is the average speed for this segment of the race or speed trial.

The Continental Pulsometer’s design elevates its functions with clearly presented, elegant appointments. The silver or black sunray-brushed dial options evoke precision and celebrate acceleration in harmony with the guilloche pattern 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and small seconds counter at 9 o’clock. The date window at 6 o'clock, applied indexes with luminous markers and red central seconds hand complete the nostalgic look. The prominent crown and chronograph pushers resonate with the classic style and offer ease of use.

Available on a brushed and polished 7-link bracelet with butterfly clasp with pushers or supple black or slate grey handmade Italian leather strap with white stitching, the Continental Pulsometer is always empowering. With moderate proportions, essential features and refined design it is lightweight, comfortable and effortlessly luxurious. Whether cruising along a coastal highway or testing speed and fitness in a race to the finish, its wearer knows how they match up when its “Time to Perform".DELMA Continental Pulsometer Line Up
